It looks like the train derailed as it was going over a bridge and smushed up on the lower tracks.
ReplyDeleteYou can see the bridge abutment at the left end of the BN boxcar, and bits and pieces twisted in the pile.
This theory would explain how the cars ended up like they did.
Google failed me because I wasn't able to find anything on it in 5 minutes or less!
