Truck into Culvert

This is a few years old now. From the email I received:

It happened on the Kalgoorlie to Perth Road.

A culvert was being installed across the road with a detour gravel road graded around the whole area.

The Truckie has just blown clean on through the detour signs and punted straight into the trench. He survived with minor injuries!

Look at all the bicycles in the second picture. Must be a standard way of getting around that plant. Very good! Now they just need a few more 'Max Clearance' signs on their gantries.

Insecure Pipe Load

Sent in by a reader a few weeks ago. From the email:

"This 9.5/8" casing had just left Gearhart's yard following inspection/re-coating for storage by Apache, the truck wasn't travelling fast by any means but had to stand on his brakes and give way at the intersection and the pictures tell the rest.

Driver luckily was only bruised and in a bit of shock."

BHP Train Derailment

Sent in by a reader a couple of weeks ago. I don't know where exactly this happened, just that it happened on 28th May, 2012.

The  BHP Train Derailment, I googled it and it appears that it happen on its Newman line in the Pilbara.
